This week was amazing as always. We found one of the most prepared people I have ever met on my mission. We got a call from some elders in another area, and they said they met a super awesome guy that live in our area, so they passed us his direction and phone number. He just got out of rehab, and he is looking to change his life. He went to church on Sunday, and loved it. Sunday is always good, but this Sunday was an area conference with talks by Carol F. McConkie, Benjamin De Hoyos, Robert D, Hales, and Russell M Nelson. It was SO GOOD! My favorite part was when Russell M Nelson said, "We all made the choice to follow Christ before we came here. Now we need to recommit ourselves to this choice with the choices we now make." It's not exact because he was speaking Spanish, but that was the main message.
This is the last e-mail I'm going to be sending home, because next monday I'll be on a plane all day. I have a lot of mixed emotions about going home, but my feelings about my time in my mission are clear. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father has given me this time to serve as a representative of Jesus Christ. I know that I needed to come here to Reynosa and I know that the Lord is pleased with my service. I have learned that serving others and serving the Lord aren't things just for the mission. They are part of our lifestyle and become part of who we are when we serve with love. I know that God is a God of miracles. He performs these miracles according to His will and our faith. Faith is so much more than just believing that something is possible. It is a certainty and it is the ability to visualize our goal and to act accordingly to achieve our goal. Also I testify that our families really can be eternal families when we live the gospel faithfully. I testify that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, our Savior and Redeemer. I know that He lives and loves everyone of us. I know that when we put Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as the number one priority in our lives, we will receive blessings so much bigger than everything that we sacrifice. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the Book of Mormon is true. I don't know because someone told me. I know because the Holy Ghost has testified of these things to me. I know that the gospel is true and is the only thing that leads us to joy and peace that does not have end. I love my mission and I can't say it enough that I am so grateful that Heavenly Father trusted me enough to be a missionary. I know that He really has the best in mind for every one of His children. We just need to be humble and follow His Son, Jesus Christ, and we will receive all the blessings that God has for us.
I love y'all!
