This week was crazy, like every other week. On Tuesday, it was the anniversary of the mission, so we had a big meeting with all the missionaries in the mission. I didn't realize how few hermanas we had and how many elders we had until this meeting. It's kind of nice because all the elders try to take good care of the hermanas. We were playing games after the meeting, and it was like I had 200 brothers. It was a lot of fun.
As a companionship, we had a goal to be more exactly obedient, and I can already see a difference. We have had more success this week than all the weeks before! We still didn't have anyone attend church, but we are going to change that this week. We had more lessons, more contacts, and more people to teach. Also our companionship is more unified. There weren't really any problems before, but I feel a lot closer to my companions now than before.
So for some reason, the elders are having transfers this week, and my district leader, Elder Allen, is being moved to the area next to ours. His companion, here in Loma Linda, will be our district leader now. I'm a little bit nervous because he doesn't know english like Elder Allen, but my spanish is a lot better, so it should be good. Elder Benites, my new district leader, is super nice, and I think he will be a great district leader.
I know that I'm supposed to be here. I know that I have been called here for a reason. I was reading in the bible earlier this week, and I read Acts 18:9-10. It hit me that I can apply this scripture to my mission, not only about me being safe, but also the part that says "I have much people in this city." There are people here, in Reynosa, that are looking for the truth and looking for a way to have happiness in this life. I know that the Lord has a lot of people that are prepared to receive the gospel here. I also know that I am here right now to find these people and invite them to come unto Christ. I love the gospel with all my heart, because it is my hope and my strength. I know that it's true and that God loves His children.
Until next week!
