This week was really slow until the weekend, and then everything hit fast forward. During the week, it seemed like all our investigators weren't ever home, so we were pretty much contacting a ton. However, on Saturday we were able to find a lot of investigators that we couldn't find during the week and a lot of new people. On Sunday we also found a some people that are pretty promising for us to visit.
So we have this one investigator who is really active in her other church, but she is super excited to learn more about Christ, like she cried because she was so happy when we gave her the Book of Mormon. For the longest time she didn't understand that she needed to be baptized again by someone that really has the authority, but por fin (finally) she understood on Saturday! We set a baptism date with her, and we are going to work really hard to help her prepare for that day. We brought the old relief society president (she was just released a couple weeks ago; the new relief society president has just over a year as a member) to the lesson with us, and she was really good in the lesson. We are also starting to bring a recent convert of the elders with us to some of the lessons, and she is super nice.
My companion completed 9 months on Saturday! She's half-way through! She can't believe that half her mission is already over. We have really been working to raise the bar and magnify our calling as missionaries, and one of the things we started doing is praying every couple hours when we're out working. We received some pretty fast answers; it's kind of crazy. One time we were praying to have more lessons, and one of our investigators, who was walking by, came up and started talking to us right then! It's really strengthened my testimony that Heavenly Father is listening to our prayers and He will always answer. He is not silent; He lives and continues to talk to us today. All we need to do is listen and act on His word. I invite all of you to pray and when you are praying to imagine Him in front of you listening, because He really is listening. He really is our Father and He wants to hear from us. He will help you and forgive you, but you need to turn to Him and reach out. He is there and He will always be there.
I love all of you!
