So this week was a good week like always. We had some amazing people basically fall from the sky this week. We have a lot going on, and May has been a great month. It's about to get even better. I don't remember a whole lot that happened this week because I was a zombie for most of it. I got a throat or sinus infection, and it took a lot of my energy. I'm feeling a lot better now, but I'm still a little sick. The good news is that we are teaching a taxi driver, and he offers us rides every time he sees us. Also we finally got to teach the dad of a family we have be visiting, and he is super open to learning more about Christ. His mom and a bunch of his family are already members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This week has really shown me that if we trust in God, He will help us in our good efforts.
The Bishop of the ward told a story this Sunday, and I really liked it. The story goes that a mom and her little kid are going down the street, when they see a man selling strawberries. The kid is really excited and is very insistent to his mom that she should buy some, but the mom doesn't have any money. The strawberry salesman hears this and says that he will give to the kid as many strawberries as he wants. The mom is embarrassed, but the salesman insists. The kid asks if it really is as many strawberries as he wants, and the salesman says yes that the kids can grab as many as he wants. So the kid drops his toys and grabs the edge of his shirt and holds it out and tells the salesman to fill up his shirt with strawberries. The salesman laughs and fills up the shirt extended outwards with strawberries and goes on his way. The mom asked her kid why on earth he told the strawberry salesman to fill his shirt with strawberries. The kid answered that His hands are bigger than his own hands. The bishop explained that the Lord's hands are willing to give us all the blessings that they can, and that the Lord's hands are bigger than ours. If we are obedient, the Lord will pour out blessings on us. This blessings will be more abundant than what we can gain by ourselves. I know that the Lord wants to bless us, but we need to follow His commandments and give heed to His word.
I love y'all!
