Ok this week was a little stressful, but it was also really good because I can already tell that my spanish is getting better. Hermana Gonzalez is a great missionary; she's from Veracruz, and she is the sweetest. Sometimes she talks really soft, so I can't hear her, but she's really patient with me when I don't hear or understand. The week was a little stressful, because if I didn't know where we were, then we were lost, and I was taking the lead in all the lessons, because the investigators don't know Hermana Gonzalez. It's good though because I've learned a lot this past week about how to be a better teacher and missionary.
So right now we have three really good investigators, and we hope to have one baptized in friday. We were praying a lot this week that these investigators wouldn't have problems that would prevent them from being baptized. So far it's been good, only one drank coffee after we taught Word of Wisdom, the commandment that is like a health code for us, but he gave us his full thing of coffee, and we gave him chocolate powder to make chocolate milk when he wants to drink coffee.
The faith of some of my investigators really amazes me, because they really just want to be closer to God, and they are willing to change their lives to do this. It reminds me of the story of the King in Alma 22. This king literally says that he is willing to give up all of his sins, even give up his kingdom, to know God and have the joy that only comes from being close to God. This is how we should be, because really God can give us more, make us into more, than we could ever give ourselves or make ourselves into. I know that God is my Heavenly Father, and that my Savior and Redeemer is His Son Jesus Christ, and They are always there for each and everyone of us, because They love us. I know that They live and They are not silent. Heavenly Father is listening to our prayers, and He answers them. Sometimes, we don't recognize the answer until later, but He always answers.
Always remember that They love you!
