The truth is that I'm really really tired right now because we had a sports day with all the missionaries in Reynosa and Rio Bravo. We played volleyball, ultimate frisbee, soccer (my favorite right now; we play it every Monday), basketball, and in the end we had a water balloon fight! I was dripping wet afterwards! I played so hard. One elder told me that I play like a man... I don't know if it was a complement or an insult. But the activity was so much fun! This week was pretty great! Karla got baptized! She is a youth that went to the equivalent of EFY here in Mexico, and she came back converted. She is so great! She's going to start going to seminary this week! Also one of our investigators who needs to get married is really excited about her wedding and her baptism, so much so that she went to visit her family to tell them her plans and invite them to come. It really was a miracle to see this change in her!
Being a trainer is really cool because I get to see someone do everything for the first time, and it reminds me of the growth I've had and the lessons I've learned. For example, we prayed to know what goal we should set for October, and something happened that is now normal for me, but is new and weird for Hermana Garcia. What happened is that the same goal came to her mind and my mind; the Holy Ghost is going to give us a clear answer. I witnessed the first time someone experienced receiving revelation, this communication from God, as part of a council. Really I don't know how to describe how I felt as I realized this, but I am so grateful that my Heavenly Father has given me this opportunity, not only to be a missionary, but to also be a trainer. I am learning new things everyday, and I love it! I feel like it doesn't suffice to say that I am so grateful, but I really feel gratitude fill up my heart every time I think of the blessings I have received as a missionary. I know that my Savior lives, and I know that my God lives. I know that They love me. I know that They love each and every one of y'all!
I love y'all too!
