This week we worked REALLY hard. I'm still tired from last week! But it paid off! We found a bunch of families; we had investigators at church, and they loved it! We are really seeing a lot of progress here! I love it! I feel so blessed that the Lord is trusting me so much that He is putting more and more people in my path. Also I learned an important lesson to ALWAYS check that I wrote the address of people that we are going to teach, because I forgot to do it for one family, and as a result, we were looking for the house for an hour and a half in the hot sun. We sure were tired when we finally found the house!
So this week, when I was reading the New Testament in the Holy Bible I came across a part that really made me think, "...Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness... but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings... this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:8-14 It's a little long, but I love it! I love how Paul talks about how all the things he lost or sacrificed for Christ and to do His work, were nothing compared to know Christ, partake of His sacrifice for all of mankind, and achieve his divine potential. It talks about how he forgets the past and moves forward, doing God's will. It made me think about my mission, how I had to leave a lot behind to serve the Lord. It was really hard in the beginning, but now I understand so many things that I didn't before; I have have so many blessings that I didn't have before. It really shows to me that to do the will of God, is to get to know Him better and become more like His Son Jesus Christ, and these are blessings that are so much greater than anything we can sacrifice to do God's will.
I love y'all!
