Well if every week I say that it was a good week, then this week was super mega wonderful. Why you might ask? BECAUSE IT WAS GENERAL CONFERENCE! Even though I was freezing to death in the AC for 8 hours, it was amazing to listen to these inspired leaders. I loved the messages! Every session had an over-arching theme. It was awesome to listen to these messages and feel the Holy Ghost bring answers to my heart. Well this week we were looking for people to teach. We've had some trials and some miracles, so it was like every week in the mission, but somehow it always turns out great.
This week we had a meeting with the President and the assistants. During this meeting, I realized that while I thought I was doing a good job, I was working hard and striving to be a good example, I had so much room to improve. Elder Ortega, an assistant and amazing missionary who just finished his mission, said "My most demanding boss isn't President Regalado. My most demanding boss is Jesus Christ. He expects perfection, and He demands perfection from me. He demands my all, everything that I have and am." Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself so that we can be perfect in Him, but He asks that we strive for perfection. He asks that we become His disciples. Since I heard Elder Ortega say this, I rededicated myself to serve the Lord with ALL my might, mind, and strength. He has given me everything. I can give Him everything that I am, and I know He will make me into something so much more wonderful than I can make myself be. I know that this gospel is true. I know the whole purpose of this gospel is to help us and our families became perfect in Christ and worthy to live as a family in Heaven Father's presence. I am here to share this knowlegde and this hope with those who do not know it. And believe me, if you really opened your eyes once you left your house you would see the desperate need for this message all around you. Don't just stand by. First receive a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel and strengthen that testimony by sharing it with those around you. It can only influence people for the better. Don't deny other people blessings for the fear you have to leave your comfort zone. I'm going to strive to serve the Lord with all I am, but I invite y'all to pray for strength and guidance and do the same. If y'all do this, you will see so many blessings not only in your life, but in the lives of those around you. I know this is true because I have lived it and seen it.
I love y'all!
