This week was great, like always. It's raining a lot now, so it is a bit cooler. We have been working hard trying to find people. Right now we have some people that are progressing, but we need to think of a new way to find more families. We had a long meeting with Presidente Regalado on Thursday. Literally by the time we got to our area and ate, we only had two hours to work because we also had a meeting with our ward mission leader (we call him Papá Cruz because he is the best). I love this ward because when we brought the Relief Society President with one of our investigators, she really took an interest in our investigator. When our investigator went to church, she made sure the other sisters got to know our investigator. Also the other sisters went and chatted with our investigator without us having to say anything! I love it when that happens!
Something that I have seen throughout my mission is the power the Book of Mormon has to show people the truth. One of my converts had countless missionaries try to teach her, but she never took an interest or she didn't understand them. That changed when she started to read the Book of Mormon. Now she is in Alma, and she loves it. She has a testimony and she is striving to go the temple with her husband and kid. She isn't the only example I can name. I can name at least 3 more off the top of my head! Really the commitments to read the Book of Mormon, pray, and keep the commandments (one of them being to go to church) are essential for a conversion. As we do these things, we can recognize the truth easily because we are making ourselves more sensitive to the Holy Ghost, and the Holy Ghost testifies of the truth. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. It is a miracle that we have this book today, and it was given to us to help us come closer to God and understand His word. The Book of Mormon and the Bible support one another and help us know the things we need to do in this life to have peace and joy. I invite all of you to study and treasure the Book of Mormon like the treasure that it is. If you do this, you with receive an even stronger testimony of the truthfulness of it's message.
I love y'all!
