Welp that call came again saturday night. After 5 months in Valle Alto, I'm getting transfered to a place that is super far away.... Puerta del Sol! Literally I'm in the same church building and same zone. Oh also my companion is a sister missionary that I don't know.... Hna Gonzalez! I'm going to be her last companion in the mission! She's going to show me the area in one week, and then I get a new companion. We were laughing when we saw each other because I always told Hna Gonzalez that I wanted to "kill" her (be her last companion). Hna Palmer is going to replace me in Valle Alto, and I know she's going to love it here. I'm a little sad because I really love this area, but I know Puerta del Sol is a great ward. I'll be part of the only companionship in the ward, so I'm going to get spoiled by the members. This week was great! We found a ton of people to teach and we laughed a lot because a teenager we are teaching told me that I was making my skin like bacon for walking in the sun all the time. Also we played soccer and make pancakes as a zone today, so it was a pretty good way to start the day.
Something that I feel like that was reinforced in this week is that even though I make plans for everyday, my time is used most wisely when I put my plans aside and follow the plans Heavenly Father has for the day. When we diligently tried to be doing what Heavenly Father wanted us to do every hour of everyday, we found new people to teach and we received more guidance in the things we need to say. I read a talk about pride from Ezra Taft Benson, and he says that pride is when we put our will before God's will. The talk really make me think about my decisions that I make everyday, if I really was being humble and putting Heavenly Father's will first before my own. I invite all of you to read the talk. It's really good. It's Beware of Pride. I'm so grateful for the gospel! I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father manifests His love in so many ways to us. I'm grateful that He guides us through a prophet in this day, just like in times of old. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet called of God, and that there are many inspired leaders called of God in this church. We just need to prayfully listen and give heed to all the guidance God gives us through his righteous servants to receive protection from the world and the blessings God has prepared for us.
I love y'all!
